A robot dog has set a new Guinness World Record in the 100 metre sprint

HOUND, a four-legged robot dog from Korea, has set a new Guinness World Records record for the 100-metre race. It covered the distance in 19.87 seconds with a weight of 45kg and an average speed of 18.12km/h, starting from a stationary position.

The robot was designed and manufactured by the Dynamic Control and Robot Design Laboratory of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
