Apple will introduce a new generation of basic AirPods in 2024 with a number of new features that are designed to make the headphones more appealing to consumers. And they will be available in two variants: with and without active noise cancellation. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman writes about this.
These models will perform in two different price categories. This is how Apple aims to replace both the AirPods 3 and the cheaper AirPods 2, which are still available at retail. At the moment, there are few differences between the two, except for the design, which Gurman says confuses buyers.
