The second prototype was a modular car Model B. It is radically different from the first version – it consists of a ground carrier (“base ship”) and a flying drone, and looks like a minivan or a compact truck.
The mothership of the futuristic vehicle has six wheels. The interior has six seats. The electric drone supports manual and automatic controls. And it is designed for only two passengers.
The company claims that this modular car is their next mass production destination. Moreover, it is now a priority as a transformer car is much more difficult to develop.
Xpeng AeroHT, which is a division of the well-known electric car manufacturer XPeng, was founded in 2013. In 2016, the company developed its first flying machine. It was followed by five more, which looked more like drones. The prototype of the first truly flying car was shown in the autumn of 2022.
